I have a history of GERD/gastritis. In the past I have taken Prilosec for it, but thankfully due to diet changes I have not found the need for the Prilosec now for months. The past week I've been experiencing a bit of upper chest pain/burn after swallowing my pills. If can be any-vitamin, probiotic, abx. I really don't want to resume the Prilosec, but also don't want to damage my UGI tract. Any suggestions on what I can do other than drinking a ton of water when swallowing?

Sounds like GERD, I would check with my gastroenterologist if I were you, Keep your head elevated at night for sleeping. YOu might need an endoscopy. -------------------- Igenenex + IGM 18, 23-25, 31, 41, 66, FL 1953, bart, babs, erlich, c diff. Maybe just a few weeks of Prilosec would heal your esophagus and then you could try going off of it again.

I know for a fact it't the reoccurence of my gastritis/GERD. I don't want to damage my esophagus and was wondering if there is something out there that any of you take to coat the lining. I really don't want to resume the Prilosec, but looks like I may have to. Thanks,
