See: http://chronicfatigue.stanford.edu/

Check it out for info on Lyme and other pathogens that may be contributing to your illness.

Best, Timaca

Well done, Stanford. They seem to favor Focus Diagnostics for Lyme and co-infection testing. I've heard good things about many of their diagnostics...I assume their Lyme is similar to IgeneX?

This is a pretty complete picture so far, even including some viruses such as XMRV. I do wish they'd spend a little more time on mycoplasma and discuss the protozoa Bartonella/Babesia like organism, but this is way more comprehensive than most research university pictures, and I'm glad that "prestigious" institutes are finally getting the idea that chronic fatigue syndrome (and fibromyalgia) are simply symptoms of a pathogen, not a mysterious syndrome that just comes out of nowhere.

The website is a good start, and it gives patients and doctors a place to go to for information. In my case, no one thought to test me for Lyme disease. Then when testing for that ensued, no one thought to test me for Coxsackie B or HHV-6, etc. So, all the info is now in one place for people to consider.

This is a starting point, other pathogens will be added on as information becomes known. I know they test for mycoplasma at Stanford, as I am seen there...but you are right, it is not on the website. At some point, it will be added.

Focus is a good lab, and most of my tests are run there, except for enterovirus testing, which is run at ARUP lab: http://chronicfatigue.stanford.edu/infections/entero-tests.html
