mine seem to appear overnight on my neck and chest. If so, do you know what they may be attributed to?

one llmd told me they were from virus's
i have tons of them. hate them. ins used to cover having them off but doesn't now unless they are infected
i have found if they get sore or red and you put abx ointmenton them and cover with a bandaid they turn black and fall off
thatdoesn't make so much sense about virus...but who knows
ps-years ago i had a bigwig dermatologist in nyc look at them and he said theywere not dangerous

I think they can also be caused from bartonella.

really? I have them on my neck but was told it is just from rubbing skin. They are not dangerous but unsightly. I never know this about lyme. Sometimes I get scared taht they blame everything on lyme these days.

I got some in my armpits soon after starting Rocephin last year. LLMD-Lite just said, Hmmmm...
They went away after I was done with Rocephin.
Never did figure it out.

I get a lot of them especially where my necklace rubs my neck.
Compound W will take them off very quickly! Just make sure to only get the Compound W on the tag and not your skin bc oh my does it sting your skin!!
I have always heard that they come from the skin being rubbed and know lots of people that have them.

Hi Lyme folk, I have literally hundreds of darn skin tags.
New Dr. says they can be from Diabetes, I also read from PCOS , and BArtonella.

I got mine from Bartonella. They are gone now. No new skin tags, either. Yeah !!
Even the crusty moles on my back have started to dry up and fall off.
I hope nothing important dries up and falls off

@ElaineG, OMG, you just made me LOL,LOL!!
I was thinking Bartonella too. I know that your doctor (elaineG) has mentioned all kinds of skin manifestations with bart.
Mine literally crop up overnight. I have been pinching them between my nails and they fall off. all are on my neck and a few on my upper chest. What is smoothe skin at bedtime is bumpy in the a.m.
and yes, you can tie a string around larger ones and they fall off. mine are tiny, can barely pinch them.
another mystery....i knew that i would have company. Do any of you have these appear overnight??

Feelfit, It's bad enough gravity takes over but would not want the girls drying up and falling off. Just to clear that up. I'm glad you caught it.
I would find tiny tags around my hairline by my neck, they were not there one day and came out of the blue. Then they disappeared but not until I was treated for Bart. I'm still treating Bart and still have those little red dots. But, the skin tags really haven't reappeared.
Feelfit, I know you are cautious making sure your finger nails are clean while pinching (eek) those tags but maybe an antiseptic also will help. I learned that lesson years ago while scratching a mosquitoe bite and wound up with cellulitis. I thought I kept my nails clean....guess not. Now, I'm overly cautious.
Yes, bartonella does very strange things to the skin. Little red dots, crusty moles, we all know about the stretch marks or skin straitions (sp?) and veins that grew sideways instead of up and down. Very weird disease but more easily to recognise, I think because of the skin stuff.
Are you treating Bart? I would think that the skin abberations would go away with treatment.
