hey folks,

i made some bartonellatreatment already.. but like i saw in my lymebook, i only did 1 months of levaquin and 2 months of rifampicin, i think it was a little bit too short i think.

so... how long did u treat bartonella until you get rid off it and symptoms like brain fog???

can bartonella cause memory loss too?? what about raccoon eyes??? i have very dark eyes since i got sick..

I am interested in these responses too. I just started my third month of treatment and wondering how long I will be treating for.

My doc said that you had to continue rifampin for some time after symptoms went away because they could come back.

I've been treating for 3 months w/ Cipro, which is same family but weaker. I take twice the dosage of what the Levaquin would be, So I think it's comparable. I have had excellent strides. My doc wanted to stop, but I requested more since I don't trust the good feeling. I would also like to know what a solid time frame is for Lev/ Cipro treatment. I just feel like 3 months is not really long enough

When I started it the LLMD told me three to four months but I could only last five weeks before getting tendonitis.

I've been told anywhere from 3 to 6 months....I would always opt for the longer treatment if possible....

I made good progress with 4 weeks of levaquin before tendonitis kicked in. If you can tolerate it for 2-3 months, you'll be golden (maybe)...

It's something that I may have to try again (or cipro or factive even).
