He had me go from 400mg to 200 two weeks ago because my stomach was so upset. But he also changed it from capsules to tablets and they don't make me feel nauseated or anything.
But yesterday and today I've been anxious, agitated and feeling detached from myself and been having intrusive thoughts almost to the point of psychosis (been there and hospitalized for it so I know what it feels like).
I was feeling great mentally/emotionally on the 400, but crappy, nauseated and exhausted physically, I guess from my body fighting the lyme.
I'd rather feel physically ill than be in psychosis and feel anxious and agitated any day.
Anyway, I have an emergency appointment with my psychiatrist on monday, but what if he ups the dosage on my mood stabilizer and SSRI when I don't really need it, I just need more antibiotics?
My next LLMD appt is the day after my psych appt. I'm sure he's going to raise the dosage back to 400, or at least I'm going to try and convince him to do so.
So do you think it could be because of the lower doxy dose, like maybe the lyme has gone gung-ho wreaking havoc on my brain because there's not much to stop it?
Or do you think it's just time for a psych med adjustment? I've been doing well on the doses I'm taking since January, so I think if it weren't enough it would have been evident earlier.

200mg is probably not enough to pass the BBB that is why you are feeling as you do. Dr. B recommends 400 to 600mg of doxy. I don't think 200mg is enough and yes that is why you are probably feeling as you do.
If you can't handle the high doses of doxy due to stomach issues talk to him about trying another ABX that passes the BBB effectively. Mino does and there are others that do, too.
You probably do not need any adjustment in any Psych meds, if the way you are feeling came about after lowering your dose of doxy.

Very good advice from abxnomore.
I was going to suggest changing meds too. 200 is not enough.
