More questions about the Cowden Protocol. It seems that my doctor may have given me an older version of the Condensed Protocol.
Does anyone know why the Condensed Protocol has changed, and what is important to know about the new protocol?
What does it mean that the herbs in the bottles are infused with something? Is there an energetic element infused?
They may be infused...I'm just CONfused.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.

What do you mean by he gave you an older version? Did he give you paperwork?
The protocol (herbs and daily herb dosing booklet) is available directly through Nutramedix. No need for handwringing...it's pretty straightforward.
They give you all the directions you need. It's better to just run it the right way. When you order the first month of herbs you get the booklet.
Some of the first bottles of main herbs are infused. This just means you have to top off the bottle before it becomes empty (when there is still roughly 1/4 or 1/3 of the liquid remaining).
Now there is an older version of the protocol whether your MD feels that was better I don't know but the new version has been helping me.
Good luck.

Hi Lymeorsomething, Thanks for your reply and the information. Yep, I'm definately handwringing! How did you know?
What he gave me is an instruction sheet only which says "Cowden (L) Protocol". When I started to look online for a pre-made schedule of how to take everything, I noticed that there were several newer versions of it, and there was no pre-made schedule online to go with the instructions he gave me.
I also noticed that Nutramedix sells the current protocol as a package deal, by the month. Other vendors online sell various versions. I was looking for the best price, but of course also want the product package that is going to give the most benefit!
Some of the older versions seem to have as many as 8 dosing periods per day. The new version seems to have just 4. If I had 8 dosing periods per day, I wouldn't be able to leave the house! Not to mention driving my husband crazy!
I'm not sure I understand the infusion part, but it sounds like all instructions are provided, and people like you are doing it just fine, so I should be able to as well.
I will discuss the best option for me with my doctor. He's awesome, so I'm sure we'll work something out.
I asked him how his other patients have done on the Cowden protocol, and he said very well. I've been on ABX for a long time, and he wants to use the Cowden protocol to take care of anything that's left lingering, and to prevent relapse.
It's great to know that the new version is helping you. Can you say a little more about how you are feeling, or what you are experiencing?
Thanks again. The best of health to you.

Dr. C has a FB page where people discuss the protocol, answer questions, etc.
Dr. C himself comes on frequently and answers questions personally, even answers pm. Very impressive! Here's the link:

Thanks for the link, gwb. It should be helpful in navigating the unfamiliar.
Have you tried the protocol yourself? Experiences with it?
Best wishes.

hopeful4,
No I have not been on his protocol. I've been on his FB page and asked questions and pm'd him and he always answers back. Seems a lot of people are doing well on it.
