I have been like clockwork every 27-28 days for years.
Today is day 15, and I JUST started again.
Dag nabbit
I started using teensy tiny dabs of progesterone cream about 2 months ago ( am sensitive so had to start slow ).
Could this be why?
I am 44 if this helps.
Since I've been sick, I've noticed I'm crampy in the ovary area when I ovulate somewhere between day 13 and 16. I assumed that was why i was crampy today, but then......
Yeah. It's back. Full on.
Please tell me this happens to others.

I'd have to agree that it is likely that the progesterone cream is causing this.
Are you using it daily or just on the days from ovulation to the beginning of your menses?
I read that it should be used from ovulation to the first day of the menses.

I was soooo incredibly low in Progesterone. I mean bottomed out.
I started it on day 12 last month and it did squat for helping oppose the estrogen ( my period was still heavy )...
so doc told me to just keep using it right on through to build up my levels since they were so low.
Hmmmmmmm.....now that I think about it, I remember reading on birth control pill packets way back when I used to take them, that breakthrough bleeding can happen when you first start them.
Can breakthrough bleeding happen with progesterone cream, too, when starting that?
Maybe it's just breakthrough I'm having and not a real one.

Ok...just Googled this........
I have just started my progesterone cream and I?m have breakthrough bleeding. What does that mean?
It is quite common when a woman first starts progesterone to have a breakthrough bleed and the appearance of another period. This is often the result of cell receptor wake up and influence on the uterine lining and receptor cells therein, such activity bringing on a bleed.
We tell women not to be concerned about this unless it is heavy (haemorrhaging), constant, and/or causing pain that leaves you feeling concerned. Its not unusual.
Many, many women report wake up bleeding as being one of the first things that may happen when they start progesterone.
It represents positive activity in the body.
The Natural-Progesterone-Advisory-Network.com website refers to this first bleed as the pretend period, indicating the positive impact and presence of natural progesterone.
However, we do hear from women who report too many irregular breakthrough bleeds. They cannot establish a regular cycle and are still feeling quite estrogen dominant with associated symptoms.
Our experience has led us to believe that often unsuitable creams can do this. We suggest that if there is more than one breakthrough bleed and your period becomes erratic rather than stabilising within a four month period, then you seriously need to reassess your cream base.

OMG...this is so bad.
Sorry, I just have to vent.
I went to bed last night hoping it's just breakthrough and i woke up and it is even worse.
I JUST finsihed my regular cycle a week ago today and it's back full on.
Feel shakey and just can't stop crying today
I can't believe this is happening to me. The harder I try to get myself well and make my body healthy, the worse I get.
Waving white flag here. If this ever happened to anybody, PLEASE give me a shoutout.
No more doctors. I'm so done with doctors who won't take me seriously and just look at me like I have four heads.
