Just wondering if anyone knows if this is helpful or a scam? Someone I know swears it's worth the money for detoxing. When I google it - some say it's a scam some don't. And I don't remember if it was mentioned here.

I say it can't hurt - BUT
Make sure they are using proper ventilation so you are not breathing in your own toxic fumes. Should be a vent right above the foot bath.

In my opinion it is a scam. I owned one for awhile and when I would put the salt in with the distilled water without putting my feet in, the water would still get all nasty.
It's a chemical reaction. But if it makes you feel better, go for it.
