New test that assesses Bb specific T cell activation and Cytokine (a type of wbc) production. Anyone heard of it or anyone had this blood test?

It's by Neuro Science and sent to Pharmgen Labs in WI??

Thanks Lymetoo,

I wasn't sure which was appropriate, so I put it in general support? whatever you think is best.

It is a test that is very accurate. It tests T cell reactions to ONLY the Lyme pathogen. Then another part of the test is ONLY to the Lyme pathogen in your cytokine reactions. They also do a regular WB. The great part of this test is that the reaction is only to Lyme. There is no cross reactions or false positives. They received a $250,000 grant from the NIH for this type of testing for other pathogens recently. I think they have one for candida now and are working on the co-infections. The other good point is that they can retest during treatment to see if the cytokine response is down or not. It is a very reliable test and some insurances will pay for part of it as NeuroScience is a provider for some ins companies.
