For the first time since last September I stuck with bentidate and charcoal detox.every day for over a week. Also had the first week where I was able to function well. Figured it was cuz I was finally detoxing correctly..and was so happy. Until today. Suddenly back to couch bound sick. Body feels too swollen to even consider getting dressed. I ask myself how can this be? Is there such a thing as too much detoxing?

Thanks,

Begale

I don't know, but I got sick too after my first week of heavy detox. It lasted a couple of days and I went back to feeling pretty good again. I am still doing detox every day. Apple Pectin 4000 mgs a day in two doses, or activated charcoal 12 tabs a day two doses.
I don't do charcoal everyday because it will bind to everything including vitamins and minerals.

Bentonite and charcoal will absorb toxins, but they also absorb vitamins and minerals.

If you do them continuously, you may become deficient, which will affect you.

My gosh, I don't know how you could take charcoal for a whole week.
I took one dose, and was constipated for three days!

Carol, the Bentonite and charcoal would definately cause me constipation, which of course would defeat the purpose of the detox, so I would chase it with metamucil and Senakot vegatable laxitive to be safe.

I'm so glad I asked the question, maybe I've just had too much continuous bentonite & charcoal! I'm sure you all know the fear of never quite knowing if you will be able to function at any given week.

Good to know this could just be too much detox.

thks

Also consider paying attention to your liver.

I was detoxing like mad and still feeling dizzy, until it was apparent I had an overwhelmed liver.

Nightly castor oil packs and drinking dandelion root tea did wonders for me

What are castor oil packs? And who on earth can eat charcoal?? Man that sounds sick. I have good results with the clay and Epsom salt baths.
