I just got a message from the nurse saying my kidney function is low. I was on Invanz last weekend had to stop because it made me so sick. Now I am on IV zithromax, which I just started today.

Anyway is there anything I can do....drink more water?

Do you know which tests she was referring to? Was it your BUN and creatinine levels? If the BUN is low, it can actually be from over hydration or decreased protein intake. I think it is sometimes associated with liver problems too. Mine would always come back low when I was a vegan.

I don't know of any problems connected to a low creatinine. As far as I know, that isn't a concern.
