New,concerning symptom and wondering if it's Lyme or co-infection related.
Twice in the past two days I have developed a big lump/knot that stung/burned and then bruised.
The first I hit my hip on a door pretty hard. Immediately it turned beet red, swelled up and within minutes a bruise larger than a quarter appeared.
Last night I barely hit the back of my upper arm on a door and same thing a knot the size of a grape appeared then it stung/burned and within minutes another huge bruise.
I've always bruised easily and have had low platelets in the past.
I've never bruised where a knot forms first, itching, stinging and then bruise. My most recent CBC my platelets were normal.
On occasion I get a similar reaction in my fingers where I can perhaps open something like a bottle or turn a door handle and I get the burn/sting/pain and a finger will bruise and swell up.
This has happened off and on for a year or two.
Any input greatly appreciated.

Hi, I don't know what it is but I had that back in May. But with me I did NOT bump into anything and it was always on soft tissue!! I would feel a hard knot like you said, and then hematomas the size of a dollar bill!! Like you my platelets were normal... in fact all my lab works were normal. They even checked my blood thickness and that was normal as well. And then it stopped. So I have no idea why I had it and why it stopped!

I had something similar while on Albenza. No bumps, though, just sudden, searing pain, followed by redness and very noticable swelling. Mine were at joints, though.
I had associated it with Albenza (herx?).
