http://gordonresearch.com/articles_various/fight_protocol.html

Details are given of the steps involved to treat people using the method called FIGHT

F = Food related aspect and leaky gut
I = Infections
G = Genetics and epigenetics and methylation issues needed for detoxing
H = Heavy Metals and Hormones
T = Toxins

Worth the read and gives you labs and specific protocol details and also theories on detox and pathways and genetics and what you can or should do and how and why...

I listed to his webinar and he does now Health Coaching and will see anyone and will fine tune his protocol to fit you and your situation and uses your records etc.

There is a test he lists that can test all the toxins in your body and you can do that it looks like before and then after you do your detox regimens to ensure you did it correctly and well and specific to what your toxic load is.

I think finally I found a tool to test what the load is and how much progress is made along the way and what to target and how...

So much better than guessing...

Need to add here

A place to type in your State and get a whole list of doctors who support the FIGHT protocol and well too.. I noticed on this list when I searched my state is my highest rated and best integrative doctors for lyme disease.

I have been an advocate of Integrative approaches to this disease with an integrative doctor or team...

Take a look and do not put in a name or zip or such as they mean the doctors name and there are not enough on the list to get that specific. Just put in your state... and that is all.

This search should be added to Seeking Doctors section in my opinion .. some how.. some way. I know that it does not really work that way though and its by request.. Maybe those helping others can add it to their way to find support for people.

These integrative doctors and approaches by far have been the best for me.. Not all conventional and not all alternative but a mixture of both and open mindedness to using things that work that are outside the box as well as working on the whole body and all at once intensively to make a shift and change and to treat aggressively enough to work.

One more page all about this method and FIGHT protocol in detail

http://gordonresearch.com/fight/forsgren-fight.pdf

Anyone taken this approach here and followed the protocol?

I am ready to go through something like this to check my status in all the inclusive areas and to address and detox all neurotoxins from all the infections and drugs and now even I think Mold or other environmental neurotoxins.

I do not want to just take CSM and hope for the best. I want more guidance and ways to test what or how much I am holding in my system and treat accordingly and then test again proving it worked along with addressing hormones and food and genetics and all he talks about.

I think it is a very great idea and approach and can be used for Lyme patients in the beginning and middle and end of your process of treating this disease..

Would love to know if anyone here as done the protocol and what your feedback is?

I believe that much of this "FIGHT" treatment can be helped by diet. I follow the blood type diet, specifically the "Geno Type Diet. It addresses foods that cause leaky gut specific to your blood type, also genetics and epigenetics and methylation. There is advice on supplements for each blood type to help with heavy metals, hormones and toxins as well as avoiding the foods that cause more of this.

Dr.D'Adamo has years of experience in epigenetics. He created a software program available for people who want to maximize and turn on the genes in their body that fight infections. You put in your health history and it creates a food plan tailored to your specific issues. The software program is called "Swami".

It will give you a beneficial and avoid list for foods. Sometimes it is more important to concentrate on the foods that help your body heal.

I have been on this for almost 5 months. When I started, having a leaky gut, I would be doubled over any time I ate anything. I am much better now eating this way. You can google, "Live Right For Your Type" and get to the blood type diet website for more information.

It does seem like all these elements might be involved in chronic disease. However, I am having trouble with the idea of blood type diets. What is the scientific reason for this? If I did this, being blood type A, it would be mostly vegetarian. In studies in the past, vegetarians end up being protein deficient.

Not all A's end up being vegetarian. It is all individual by other criteria. If you go to the page I pointed out, your question can be answered.
Dr.D'Adamo explains epigenetics and the science on how this all came about.

I am an A that has fish, lamb, mutton, cornish hens, turkey all allowed.

Lots of people on the blood type forum are healing from a laundry list of health issues.
