Ok up until about a year ago, I suffered from these wierd needle like pains mostly around my torso and chest, but they could happen anywhere on my body. It feels like someone has a voodoo doll with my face on it and is sticking it with pins...I get these millisecond long sharp pains that are gone as quickly as they come. I used to jump all the time from them but they stopped. Now that I am well into my second week of doxy, I am getting them again. What the heck?? Are these lyme related? Are they something else entirely? I don't even know what to call them...nerve shocks I guess is the closest I can come to a description.

Also, found out today that my positive 31 band on my Igx IgM was indeed the lyme epitope and not any other virus or infection.

I would think it's just a herx. Things go back and forth a lot.

That's good about the Band 31 .. at least you know what you're dealing with!

Yes, those stabbing pains are typical of lyme patients.

When old symptoms come back with treatment, it is a sign of a herx.
