Does anyone know what "INACTINE PEN110" is? It may not be a medical treatment, but a treatment process for collected blood for transfusion. Not sure.
I was Googling RBC parasites treatments; my friend is still really sick. these links popped up from a journal titled "Transfusion".
I couldn't find the definition and I didn't have access to the full articles.
Thanks in advance.

It is a chemical added to donated blood that kills pathogenic micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, protozoa, etc.). But the inactine 110 chemical apparently isn't safe to put into the human body, so it has to be washed out of the blood before the blood can be given to a person.
This info comes from reading several abstracts online from a Google search of "inactine 110." I never did find anything that came out and said exactly what inactine 110 is, so I'm guessing it is protected by patent and therefore would be difficult to actually find out what it is. Might ask a bloodbank and see if they know what it is.

Thanks Razzle for the research. I am of course wondering how you wash a chemical out of the blood? My guess would be to add another chemical to neutralize the first one?
Anyway, the abstract sounded promising, but doesn't sound like it will be a practical solution.
