I was making a lot of progress on malarone for babesia treatment, but now being on mepron seems to only be causing liver inflammation.

I have this feeling of bloatness, and something swollen under my right rib (liver? gall bladder?) and it is uncomfortable. Also, my bowel movements are light yellowish/tan and loose.

I have done castor oil packs, glutathione (patch) and soft gels taken by mouth, drink lots of water, milk thistle, ALA, and NAC but still have this swelled up feeling.

I hate to call my pcp for a appt. since he already is apprehensive about me taking so many meds now for lyme,babs, mycoplasma. But, on the other hand if something serious is wrong - I probably should find out what's going on.

Getting very worried.

I am also feeling pain under my right rib. I do not have yellow/tan BMs though. Maybe you should get it checked out. I think Babs loves the liver and spleen. Maybe it is herxing we are experiencing.

Are you eating a full meal with each dose ?
