My ferritin level is currently a good 67 which is really a good place to be. When I initially came down with this illness 11 years ago, I had babesia symptoms and a low level of 18. Babesia likes iron.
I relapsed in April and am having a really difficult time coming out of this relapse. My regular LLMD thought it was myco pnuemonia because those titers went up. After a couple of rounds of zith, my titers went down and then up again.
At the beginning of this relapse my CD57 was 127, a good place to be, but dropped to 71 after 3 months.
My other viral loads are down due to lauricidin, etc.
I had a phone oonsult with another LLMD, and he thought babesia and bart were acting up. Considering my ferritin levels were good, I didn't understand this.
Is it possible to have babesia and good ferritin levels? Has anyone had any experience with this?
