hi everyone...i have had some candida issues lately. in addition to a low sugar diet and probitotics, can i still take abx? this lyme is in my nervous system i cant wait months more to treat it.
has anyone here ever taken abx with yeast issues? thanks love, jess

You can take them, but if it gets really bad, you need to stop for awhile and hit the yeast hard. Talk to your doctor.
Make sure for now that you follow a VERY STRICT diet... NO SUGAR and LOW carbs. No white foods.
Take the best probiotics you can afford. (and you can't afford to skimp on them!!)

Yes, we continue to take our antibiotics when we get yeast. We just add a yeast killer to all the other pills.
As Lymetoo said, if you get such a bad, bad case that the doc tells you you will have to stop meds for a while, then you will have to stop. But, that doesn't generally happen.
But, you have to be very strict about your diet, or you will NOT get rid of the yeast.

Good advice but I'll add one important point. Be sure that the probiotics are taken at least 2 hours after the abx. If taken too close to abx, it will kill the good bacteria before it has a chance to help you.
