I started with olive leaf capsules two per day at one sitting. within an hour or two my throat starts getting sore. Another hour and I can barely talk. Feels exactly like when I had strep and really painful. Not swollen to where I cannot breathe but painfully sore. Also nitemares, sore ears. Don't know if it's herx or allergic reaction. How have you reacted to olive leaf. I had to get the capsules as I am travelling and they did not have the extract

I am taking 2-3 a day and don't feel much at all. I don't think it is doing much for me. Garlic on the other hand has given me a fight and I continue to up the dosage.

I am up to 3000MG/day and 3 cloves per day.

You said: " . . . started with olive leaf capsules two per day at one sitting." (end quote)

It may be best to back down to ONE a day for the first few days. Taking with meals may be helpful, at first.

OLE can produce a herx, starting at a low dose is important. Be sure to drink LOTS of water throughout the day. Yes, you'll have more pit stops but LOTS of water is key.

You also said: " . . . feels exactly like when I had strep . . . " (end quote).

If you think this might be strep, I hope you can get to clinic to do a throat swab test.

Hope you feel better.
