In a search for herbal abx/anti-fungal supplement, I am trying to find a product that has multiple benefits without having to take a bajillion more pills
Any thoughts? Or do you have any recommendations of an very good, high quality products I should consider.
I know the consumption of large amounts of pills is necessary and that many of you take way more pills than I do.
I often times feel that I have no room for food because of all the pills I consume and water I drink. Phew...it is a workout

- I took similar products years ago and had really harsh reactions, mainly to the Caprylic Acid but also to Oregano Oil & Black Walnut.
The Black Walnut can also help address parasites and while you say you want a supplement that is multi-faceted, you really need to be prepared for who you might feel when taking this.
I tried such combo many different times and I just could not tolerate any of the them.
Pau D'Arco, itself, is much kinder and also very effective for various things. It's one of the best, even alone.
Olive Leaf Extract is also a primo supplement on many levels, even alone.
Now, if you want to address parasites, that is more complex. I'm mainly talking here about the main question, candida.
However, if you want anything to be THE ONLY antibiotic (abx) element, it would be best to get professional advice.
The tick-borne infections are very complex in nature and just because any supplement has some antimicrobial effects, that does not mean it necessarily will cover EACH tick borne infection with which you may deal.
I see you list abx in your signature line but as you say you are seeking a supplement with abx qualities, I just want to be sure that you have the coverage you need.
Are you wanting to substitute this supplement for abx? -

I would like to supplement my abx. I am an abx lightweight. And would like to be sure I put the most important supplements to work.
I am currently on Flagyl at 1/4 pill per day and have only gotten up to 1/4 twice per day for a total of 3 days and than have to back down.
My next regiment is to treat babs with: clindy/quinine and biaxin/plaquenil
I know many anti-microbials also serve as herbal abx.
I am currently taking NK-Stim (Olive leaf extract, aloe vera, larchwood) to help boost WBC.
I also take Milk Thistle containing turmeric.
I also take Nystatin to prevent candida.
I cook with coconut oil, garlic, onions.
Drink lots of tea (peppermint, chamomile, Yogi Detox, green tea) and mangosteen juice.
I am a newbie Lyme, have researched as best I can and want to be sure that I am not missing something that would be crucial in helping me become well.
There are so many areas to address (ABX, Herbal ABX, Candida, Detox) that is because a bit confusing and overwhelming at times. I can't help but wonder, "Do I have this all straight?" "Am I taking what I need to be taking?" "What dose should I take be be sure it is effective?"
So thankful for LymeNet, a place to go for direction!!
This battle takes time, I understand. Feeling like I am making little progress over the last 3.5 months of abx treatment can be discouraging. Sometimes I wonder if all these pills are even working??? My symptoms come and go so often and the better days have yet to arrive!
Thank you for your time and help Keebler.

- You look like you already have the bases covered and you may not need this additional supplement. That's just my opinion.
Others may have good input but, for my body, I could not add anything with caprylic acid in it.
If you have trouble tolerating flagyl, caprylic acid is sure not going to be a picnic, either.
If I added anything, it would be something like serrapeptase or Wobenzyme as these will work with the flagyl to address biofilm / cyst form issues.
It's really best to have an ILADS-educated naturopathic doctor to advise you if that is at all possible.
I just don't have the education or the expertise (or energy) to further advise. However, that collection of links does offer some good detail.
It's still best to have professional guidance from someone with four years of post-graduate level education and a degree in this kind of medicine - and who is ILADS-educated to work in conjunction your LLMD.
And, it's vital that your LLMD offer guidance. If not knowledgeable in complementary methods, though, that is not easy. At least ask what they think about your adding any substantial supplement as that can change their protocol.
It is possible to do too much and I sense that you may be there (as we all have been) with so many bottles or choices, wondering how to streamline.
But, if anything makes you feel worse, that could be counterproductive. Caprylic acid set me back several times, way back. -
