I did 3 wks on/1 wk off. I think part of it was to give the liver a rest.

Yes, thanks, I figured it was probably to give my liver a rest- I'm awaiting results of my recent labs and am a bit scared becasue I was on such a small dose in the past and they went almost past 'normal' so that's probably why my LLMD might want to pulse in the future... I think it's a good idea actually, our livers must be taking a beating.

bumping up for fflutterby's question...

I pulsed Mepron. It was ineffective for me. Pulsing has not been kind to me, for the most part. Since I switched to Mepron every day, I have been improving drastically.

(I have also been taking a host of other abx and supps, so who can say what it is?)

I am with Lymeboy...Pulsing did not work for me either. I am on daily meds now and have made the most progress I have in years... When I was pulsing under another docs care, I was curious because I read that pulsing is not typically effective for Babs and sure enough I called the office and asked if it was common to have to go back on mepron repeatedly and the nurse oh yes, we have folks go back on all the time. That was part of my reasoning to go seek out more burrascano like treatment. Have you heard of cryptolepis? My current doc had someone that couldn't beat babesia for three years on everything and anything and the cryptolepis made her well. I think it is worth a real try! Take care!
