When I take LDN I feel wonderful except for the fact I have to urinate a lot and my eyes swell on it. I was worried something might be affecting my kidneys but it is not supposed to do that.
I have tried so hard to get my son to take this for his type one diabetes, which is still in the honey moon stage. Finally he is on it (about one week). This morning he got up complaining he was up all night with frequent urination and his blood sugar was not low. He did NOT take the LDN yesterday.
Now I am really concerned. What causes this frequent urination? If I tell him about my experience his girlfriend (who has objected to him taking it) will hit the ceiling and he will never be on it again. But I don't want to let this go if LDN is causing the problem. No one on the LDN forum has ever heard of this.
He and his girlfriend are leaving and I guess I will just keep in close touch to see how it goes but would sure appreciate some input from someone else.
He has always had candida and LDN causes a flair in this when starting it. Could that aggravate his bladder?

Thanks Steve, I was worried it might be a reaction. I sure hope it is not doing the same thing to him. I can get by without it but it could change his life.
Those side effects are for naltrexone taken at 50 mg but I guess if you are sensitive to it, then 1.5mg might have an effect too.
Everyone was really sick with a virus which they were not over when they left. Maybe it has something to do with that.
His girlfriend thinks it is ok for him to drink as a diabetic, but LDN is dangerous. It has taken 6 months of precious time (all the while beta cells being destroyed) to convince him to give it a try, so I can't set off any alarm bells.
