This is my 2nd week on bicillin-la injections. It seems that just an hour or so after getting injected I am so tired, all my neuro symptoms are crazy and I feel so out of it.

Kind of like getting hit over the head with a bowling ball or I guess maybe a hammer [bonk]

Last week these symptoms lasted about 2-3 days post injection.

Does this sound like a herx?

Please share your experience.

Oh and I have only been started on HALF the dose of bicillin and am working up to the full dose.

Thanks!

It sounds like a herx. It can also cause increased pain and fatigue. It can last a loooong time.

Sorry to have to tell you, but began herxing about 2 hours after each injection and kept right on til the next one. My LLMD warned me that herxing would likely continue for the first 6 mos. continually and it did. On a bright note, bicillin is one of the best drugs for me and really moved me forward fairly quickly. Good luck.
