I am just getting over a bad viral illness - bad cold/bronchitis deal.

I am about to start a new protocol and was just waiting for this to pass.

I seem to be having a flare of neuro stuff - trigeminal neuralgia and numbness, tingling, pain in my arms, legs, hands and feet - worse on the left side. (Left was always worse in the past as well) Legs hurt, arms seem ok. Muscles feel tight.

I've had these symptoms in the past, but not for awhile.

Can being sick with something else make lyme and co. flare up?

Is it immune system or the stress of being sick and having your whole family sick as well?

I do not like the numbness/tingling/pain feelings!

Thanks for your input.

I was at a bearable level of illness (I didn't know what it was, just thought I had anxiety/depression) until last March. My entire family had a stomach virus. After that, it's been downhill ever since. I've had low grade fevers every day since.

I think a lot of us can point to a time when we had a regular old virus or simple illness that sparked a Lyme flare.

It seems like any stress on the body can cause a flare (ex. lack of sleep, an acute illness, too much stress, etc).

I've picked up countless colds this winter and each one lands me in bed for a day or two. I'm barely functioning as it is with the Lyme so any illness or stress puts me over the edge.
