I used to go out with my husband to bars and drink and dance, now that I can't drink anymore we are having a hard time thinking of things to do for fun (besides going to movies). What do you do for fun that doesn't involve drinking?

We mostly stay at home and watch movies/tv shows.

- You can still dance.
Regardless of where you are, turn on the music! The stronger one of the two can lead. If both are not up to par, just lean on each other and move to the music.
Have some laughs, make your own kind of magic.
If you can manage the stimuli, you can still go out.
As carbonated water can irritate the stomach lining, that's not great as a standby but once in a while, maybe with some cranberry juice (but, then, you'd have to read the label first).
Just give a tea bag for a tea you know works for you - ask them to ice it for you - and that you will tip them nicely.
Just say for medical reasons, you have to stick to tame beverages but you will see that they are well compensated in tips if they can keep the tea coming.
If you have a couple favorite places, you could call in advance for arrangements. They probably would be happy to help as long as they know there will be some compensation for their service.
You don't have to get buzzed to help them pay the rent or keep the lights on for you. You'll be there for the music and the dance floor. -
