If you had to pay out of pocket for your meds, like I do, which meds would be most effective and lower cost for FL 1953?
I am also concerned about not taking meds that are really hard on the liver since I had extremely high enzymes and jaundice last summer from taking Bactrim DS.
I know there really isn't that much info yet on what is effective since FL1953 is relatively new.
I read the following on BetterHealthGuy's site, from notes he took during Dr C's talk at the BioResource 2012 Conference:
"�Best treatment to date for FL1953 includes: an anti-parasitic, usually Alinia or Artemisinin with Beyond Balance MC-BAB-2, Golden Thread Supreme with multiple enzymes such as Boluoke, Nattokinase, Serrapeptase, Interfase, Interfase Plus, Plant Enzyme Digestive Formula and others along with fats are often needed such as Omega-3s, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, Crayhon DHA Supreme, and others. Omega-3s may be needed for a couple of years."
and this:
"�Possible treatment options for FL1953 include Alinia, Artemisinin, Albenza, Ivermectin, Beyond Balance MC-BAB-2, Byron White A-BAB, Cryptolepis, Byron White A-BART, Supreme Nutrition Golden Thread Supreme, macrolide antibiotics. ALWAYS uses enzymes, enzymes, enzymes and usually restorative fats, while reducing dietary fats. DRAINAGE, DRAINAGE, DRAINAGE!"

My answer would be quinine and clindamycin plus ivermectin and sida acuta.
I would do 10 day cycles of quinine and clindamycin and try the ivermectin and sida acuta one at a time during the off cycle. As treatment progresses I would try to take all 4 things at once. Actually you could take high doses of ivermectin on only a couple of days per week instead of lower doses daily.
Would also include lumbrokinase and wobenzyme and also the amino acid arginine if no herpes virus issues.
If you could afford it then malarone would be another possibility to add in.
And yes, one of the artemisia meds might be helpful. Would probably try artemix from Hepalin.com The gel rubbed on the bottoms of his feet actually seemed to help hubby more than the capsules.
Note -- hubby has never been tested for FL1953 but numerous bloodslides have shown some unknown protozoa.

I appreciate your opinion on this.
I have not tested for this bug, but will keep it filed in my mind for the future in case I think I need to.
I just saw my LLMD today and I'm going to try something else for awhile.
It will be interesting to follow the progress of anyone who has tested positive for FL 1953.
I look forward to reading the update on your hubby's treatment.
