I've been on a small dose of Ivermectin for a few days now. This stuff makes me so sleepy and I just have no appetite.

Anyone else have these side effects?

One thing I noticed is that I haven't twitched all day today. No buzzing, or crawling senstations.

Just a lot of trips to the restroom.

did you find a doctor to prescribe this? Did you have to test positive for parasites?

I have intestinal parasites and my appetite goes from non existent one day to starving the next. I cannot afford to lose weight.

I have had to buy my ivermectin online from a vet place. It hasn't arrived yet.

If you got yours the same way can you pm me your doses?
I hope you are feeling better soon. Are you seeing anything in the toilet?

Yes, this was prescribed by my LLMD. I tested positive for some unknown protozoa on a stool pathogen test.

PM me when you yours arrives.

Honestly, I don't look that closely. I'm assuming anything I might expel would be microscopic.

But I did notice what looked like thread like objects. Could have been anything.

It definitely can make me tired but I am adjusting to it. I find the exact opposite regarding appetite. I am hungry all the time (which is good because I wanted to gain weight). I have heard this from other people that have treated parasites.... one of the first things they noticed was hunger.

Haley,

It funny you now mention it. Last night I was ravenous at dinner time. Can I ask how long you've taken Ivermectin?

PM if you'd rather not talk about this in the open.

Today I noticed some involuntary thumb movements. I haven't had that symptom in a very long time, like over a year.

I also have really dry eyes and the my face feels really tight all the way to the back of my neck and head.

The age old question. Herx or progression?

Not sure if what Ivermectin treats causes any neuro symptoms.

HI LymeLogged.

This is from a blog on Ivermectin and Lyme - their experience:

My experience is that after the third treatment I just know I start feeling HUNGER... hunger that I have not felt since 2005 - 5 years now? Hunger that felt painful at first because I couldn't recognize the feeling, ha... I was hungry for first time in years and I was so hungry it hurt, and I had to eat right away what ever, but then I was extremely happy with this feeling. The awesome part was that the FOOD TASTED GOOD TOO and that was also unknown!!!!

http://lymetherollercoaster.blogspot.com/2010/03/ivermectin-for-lyme-disease.html

I beleive it is because our immune system reacts to the fact that the parasites are eating all of the food, hence we don't feel hungry.

I think I have been on this med about 1 1/2 months. I take a small dose every other day. I am now up to 1 pill every other day.

I also had an immediate reaction in my eyes, they swelled up. Filarial infection is in the eyes, so makes sense. I have had a problem with my right eye from the beginning, this med is curing that infection.
