My doctor wants me to do the Lyme dot blot test. At my last appointment I was given 6 different prescriptions, 2 of which are for injections (Biaxin and Rocephin) which I was to get filled at my local pharmacy and take to my doctors office so they could administer them.
I rang my pharmacy and they said they couldn't get them. I then rang two more and they said no too.One said that they come in a pack of 10 and that if they ordered them, they would not be able to move the others, so it doesn't make sense for them.
My doctor is in Arlington MA, and I live close to NH. Does anyone know where I can possibly get these filled or whether United Healthcare covers them?
I had no idea they would be so hard to get! I called my doctor's office and left a message, but in the meantime, I'd love to get an answer. My appointmet there is on Monday, and I'd hate to cancel, though I know I will probably have to!

Poppy, you are absolutely right! It is not Biaxin but Bicillin! I have 6 different prescriptions here for the Dot Blot test and I guess I mistyped. Thank you for pointing that out. I called my LLMD's office, by the way, and they said that they have one of each injectible on their office, so I am in luck! Thank you all for the suggestions!
