My son has been feeling really lethargic with no desire to do much. So he has just been getting through the day and very little original thought or ideas. He is on Doxy and I thought he was herxing but it has been going on for about 3 months.
I realize these symptoms are typical in Lyme patients even as they are being treated but we got his labs back to check his liver enzymes and found his lithium to be at .1, listed as indeterminate. Normal range is .6 to 1.2.
He has been taking 5mg of Lithium once a day for about 3 days a week but only for a month and we did not know his level was this low.
We sent the labs to the LLMD and will hear from him next week but this is really surprising.
Any similar experience?

I don't think it is unusual.
I have read they took it out of drinking water, and another strong theory is it could indicate heavy metal toxicity.

We are using DMPS infusions. My DO uses the Dr K protocol from the about 2005. My DO also does the DMPS Challenge tests. I have done 17 infusions and have just switched to EDTA chelations.
Some do not like the infusion process but I tried the DMSA capsules initially and it was hard waking up every 4 hours for 3 to 5 days per PhD Cutler. However I did follow the group on yahoo for several months and there seemed to be several success stories.
For healing your daughter's gut you may want to check out the GAPS diet by Dr. Campbell-McBride.
I have listened to here on youtube and she is quite good. I think she is an MD and perhaps a PhD, but you can check her out.

- In a hair analysis years ago my results showed very low lithium -- as well as low magnesium and other minerals.
I would say that all lyme patients and all those with leaky gut issues (or problems with gluten) should actually expect to be low in many of the good minerals -- and explore whether the heavy metals are high.
This just seems to be so common with lyme & co. -
