I'm having the Mepron spacey, "out of body", de-realization feeling (putting aside the other side-effects/symptoms), which I've seen others mention.

Felt ok at 1 tsp 2X/day... increased to 1 1/2 tsp 2x/day on Monday and my head is totally spaced out and I'm exhausted....

How do people work, drive, take care of their kids with this? I have 3 little ones with summer right around the corner and a job (part-time thankfully) and I'm getting frightened. I run an association and things are already slipping through the cracks (of my brain, apparently).

Any ideas to help? THANKS!

Are you taking it with fatty food? I felt very spacey in the beginning before I knew to take it this way.

Maybe talk to your LLMD about taking a more tolerable dose when you have to be "on" and then increase the dose when you are not working etc...

I am on 1tsp. twice a day and it is effective for me at that dose.

My LLMD based my dosage on weight... under 120lbs I was told 1 tsp. twice a day was okay.

I cannot tolerate 2 tsp.s twice a day. I have a problem with some of the inactive ingrediants plus I have to work and run my own pracitce so I have to be at some level of functioning.

I think you need to balance quality of life with dosage. Talk to your LLMD!

Hhmmm thanks for the feedback. I am quite small so it sounds like 3 tsp a day may be too much. Thanks lpkayak.

I will def ask my LLMD about a low dose during the week and higher Fri-Sun. She has told me before that it's "unacceptable" to not be able to function. But yet I feel like I'm only taking steps back right now.

I thought Mepron had to be taken 2X a day to get your blood levels to spike? I take it around 10am and 10pm, and yes, with a fatty meal.

The support of this board means the world to me. I appreciate all of you and pray for your healing!

How do you know the spaciness is from Mepron and not from a herx?

I have the spaciness too and profound weakness. Sometimes I look at lights or moving water and the next thing I know 30 minutes has gone by. It often makes me nervous while driving.

Through most of my treatment I have gotten glutathione IV's. They used to help tremendously. I was able to go for a run or a hike for 1-3 days afterward (pre-lyme I was a 10 mile per day runner). With this new combo of mepron/zith/doxy I am unable to do any walking outside of what I have to do for work. I have no energy. It's like a total full body weakness.

I even lost all of the ability to move my legs last week like paralysis. Luckily that only lasted a few hours. Although I do lose feeling in my hands very often.

I recently tried ginseng in large doses. That gives me very temporary mental clarity for when I need to drive or do something that requires me to be completely alert.
