So..I'm thinking my recent flare of GERD, wooziness, headache, and overall hung-over feeling could be yeast.

I notice all of the above are worse on days where I eat carbs and/or sugar and MUCH better on days that I stick to a strict anti-candida diet.

In the 2 years that I've been treating, I have never had issues with yeast before that I know of. My tongue is "normal." I am really not bloated, etc.

I think this time it was the Clarithromycin. It is famous for causing yeast in the gut and my diet has been less than stellar.

I have a phone consult with my LLMD next week. I'd like to try Diflucan.

Do you think I'll have to stop treatment to get rid of yeast, or can I stay on?

I basically treated off and on the whole time I was being treated for Lyme. I stayed on the diet the entire 4 yrs and I still didn't win the yeast war.

It will get everyone sooner or later. Just takes longer for some.

One thing I didn't know was to take TONS of probiotics. No one told me how much to take. I was taking that crappy PB8 .. only. About 2 pills a day. Worthless.

Anyway... try going off for 2 - 4 wks while taking Diflucan and see what happens. You'll know soon enough if you have to stay off longer.

I take 2 theralac, 2 vsl-3 capsules, 4 PB-8 and a Florastore daily. Upwards of 350B units.
