I took a bunch of capsules for a sinus infection before. It was strong stuff. Made me burp oregano all day! I don't remember the exact treatment protocol because this was a long time ago. It was prescribed by my ND.

I've tried this myself and the only thing is it must be taken with food because the oregano is very strong. There's oil of oregano caplets that I was using, OregoMax or something like that.

Irritated Bartonella in my experience.
Be careful if you do essential oils internally/

If you try liquid oil of oregano, it's VERY important to check if it has already been diluted with olive oil before ingesting; otherwise it will burn your mouth and oesophagus.
I use 3 drops per dose of Dr Clarke's Store oil of oregano extract, which has to be diluted in either olive oil, milk or on bread, for example.
It's still very fierce, but i feel that taking it in liquid form may help with mouth, throat, etc on its way down.
It is very useful to have on hand for a variety of ills and to take when travelling. I use it abroad in the evenings to guard against stomach bugs and also to treat bites topically [by mixing some into a body cream and applying].

I have just read Canefan's post and wanted to add that essential oil of oregano is not the same as the extract.

I think it is important to make sure it is wild-crafted mediterranean. I put a few drops in tea such as mint tea.
