Hi. Me again.

Though I haven't started any Abx treatment yet I'm slowly trying to change to a healthier diet and drinking lots of water.

Before my LLMD left for vacation he also suggested a few things nutritionally ,ie the usual: avoid processed foods, sugar, dairy, etc.

...and eat lots of veggies.

I also read a book by a German author who's connected with the work they're doing there in Ausburg and seems to be part of ILADS.

She talked about this principle of balancing the Body's PH levels.

She said that Bb love a high acidic PH in the Body and how certain foods effect that.

She listed all meats in the acidic category with Turkey being the least acidic.

Pork was definitely on the bad list and beef was suggested in moderation if taken with lots of servings of veggies on the side.

All bread should be avoided except for 'Dinkelbrot' (Spelt Bread?) because it's not acidic.?

Any opinions on this PH balance theory?

I see Dr. B's protocol and much of what I read on American articles on Lyme diets.

It's eat all kinds of meat.

Since I slowly started to change my diet I've definitely felt worse and I just started about a week ago.

Maybe some of it's good (definitely) but I wonder if I need a good slab of beef? [Smile]

I'm a newbie so I have all sorts of questions.

I too wonder how much of a role ph plays in feeling better with lyme. I would be interested to see any input regarding this.

I have tested myself with the urine ph strips. The tests usually come out pretty alkaline despite my less than perfect diet. I wonder if you can be naturally alkaline, or too alkaline? Perhaps it's the large volume of water I drink that keeps my urine alkaline.
