I am just curious... I know Burascanno and others recommend taking it, but what happens if you don't?

Hopefully you are using something else to treat your Babesia??

Many of us take arteminisin and mepron or some other abx that treats Babesia at the same time.

You can also use cryptolepsis and/or sida acuta from Woodland Essence.

yes I am ... I am on Malarone (just changed back from Mepron) along with Bactrim DS, Azith and Tini, teasel root and other supp's and herbs...

I have read about it and it's recommendations but am just curious if Artemisinin is just an "extra oomph" or if treatment won't work without it.

I think that most LLMD's are now adding an herbal with Babesia treatment to boost the abx and increase the chances of killing the Babesia.

Babesia is extremely hard to get rid of. I would either take the arteminisin or ask your LLMD if they would prefer you to take a different herb.

I took clindamycin/quinine off and on for about 2 yrs for babesia.

My babs was not cleared until I took ART and zith for about 2 MONTHS. Bingo, babs was gone! Wish I had done that FIRST!!! It's got the added bonus of being inexpensive.

Lymetoo, when you took it did you pulse it or just take it everyday?

My LLNP prescribed mepron and arteminisin. I don't know why you were told not to take them together.

My husband is on the same drugs you are and still takes arteminisin.

Herbals usually make the abx work better and many LLMD's use them with abx.

I have only treated with artemesia and my babesia is almost gone. I am doing one more month of Zhang's artemesia 2. I pulsed 10 days a month for 2 years.

My boys take art and have added malarone.

Things are never dull. After 3 fighting Lyme, 2 are in remission. Youngest is still sick, age 22. He has new diagnosed Chiari Malformation and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.
