First 3 weeks of treatment are only partially responding. Dr. H changed from vanco to fidaxomicin. Has anybody used this. Her diahrea has subsided but sharp pains in left side down into pelvic area. This is no fun.

Has she had a stool culture to determine the level of C.diff and C.diff toxins? Does she have a fever?
Her pain could be due to something else. Ovarian cysts? Colon inflammation? Muscle spasms?
I've also struggled with C.diff. I'm sorry you're going through this.

Never used fidaxomicin. Glad her diarrhea has subsided. I'd check with the doctor about the sharp pains. They may be due to something else besides C. diff.
Good luck, Timaca
