My LLMD mentioned that I could do a med break for my upcoming wedding.
I am unsure if it will help me feel better...but what if I feel worse being off meds?
I want to feel the best I possibly can, but I'm unsure what to do...

Congratulations!!
I took a med break while on vacation for 2 weeks in June with my doctor's approval. I have been in treatment for 2 years and am doing pretty well. I didn't have any big problems. I did notice a few little things coming back. I started back up without issue.
If I had started to feel worse, I would have started back up again. It is a risk. For me, it worked out OK.

- You might want to substitute OLE for a while before, during and after your wedding. And, Best Wishes to you.

Congratulations! Your wedding should be the best it can be, so test how you feel by going off your meds a couple of days before.
I went off for a week when I went on vacation this spring and felt great. I told my LLMD this and she said that's pretty common if you're off for just a limited time. I had some soreness when I went back on but it was absolutely worth it!
I always felt better the first three or four days off meds than I did on them. Because of the babesia, my feeling good only lasted 3-4 days, then I'd have to restart babs meds. If it were me, I'd stop meds the day before the rehearsal and be ready to restart, if needed, the day after the wedding ... but if I felt good, I'd wait even longer to restart.
Stopping for a week or two isn't going to set you back, in fact, I think it's good to have med breaks once in a while.
Congratulations!

Meds are fine. I always brought them in their original bottles so there was no question what they were.

I hope that you feel well and have a wonderful time
Be careful stopping meds if bartonella is one of your main coinfections and currently your most problematic symptoms. For me, this infection comes back hard and fast within just a couple days. Makes me feel worse.
If you are herxing strongly then I understand why you would want to stop your meds for such a special time. If you feel better on your meds now you may reconsider that break. Why possibly mess things up if you are gaining positive ground?
I've flown with meds before and the TSA will not care as long as you bring the bottles with your name label on them. Put them in a large zip lock bag in your carry on. This will allow them to stay at room temp and make it to your destination with you.
If you have meds that need refrigerated for a long flight you can put them i a soft LITTLE lunch box type cooler with an ice pack then ask your stewardess to put that in their refrigerator. They are usually more than willing to help.
Take care, I'm so happy for you I hope you feel better and better every day!
