Ever since my son started ketek over a month ago, he's been worse - too tired to do almost anything. He still has a month to go on it. Anyone else have this experience with ketek? Now he's working up on flagyl on top of it and he's so sick. Wish I could take it away.

I improved on Ketek. Think it is too much at the same time taking flagyl. Flagyl makes me still worse.

I took Ketek for over a year and had no problems on it...I was also on amoxicillin/probenecid at the same time. It didn't make me worse...just really didn't do much at all.

My son has gotten worse over the weekend, even after speaking with dr. last week and cutting way back on flagyl...I even had him stop the flagyl completely because he was declining so badly. We see dr. tomorrow. His brain fog, fatigue and weakness are the worst I've seen in him throughout the entire illness. Today he woke up very dizzy and light-headed and it hasn't gone away. Does anyone know what this could be caused by? He says it's not a spinning dizziness. He's been dizzy and passed out with this before. He said it's kind of like how he feels before he passes out but it doesn't go away and he's not passing out. His pulse doesn't increase when standing like the POTS test suggests. Anyone experience similar symptoms?

I get that dizziness that feels like I'm going to pass out. I also get the whirling in my throat (which is another sign that I'm going to faint). Most times I don't have a lot of spinning with it either. It's just a lightheaded feeling like I NEED to sit down.

In the past, as a child, once that throat whirling came there was no way for me to stop myself from passing out, but lately I haven't actually lost consciousness except back in March 2x when I was told it was seizures, and for those I had NO warning signs which was very strange.

I've had the dizziness AT the doctor's office several times. They check my eyes and I don't think they see anything like vertigo.

I'm not sure what it is. I thought it might be low blood pressure because it was improving for a while with Florinef, salt and exercise, but recently it's been coming back again.

I hope he feels better soon and that you have a good appointment tomorrow. The weakness and fatigue is the worst IMO because it's almost impossible to push through that.
