My head tremor, or head shake, seems to be getting worse. The kind of shake where you look like you're saying "no". Sometimes it's up and down instead of side to side.

Is this related to a particular co-infection or Lyme itself?

Does it have an official name? Searching for "head tremor" or "head shake" returns tons of non-related topics. ugh.

This is essential tremor due to lyme, not a co infection. Dr. H has "parkinson's" patients that he's treating as lyme patients and has seen improvement with treatment.

I had Lyme probably 30 years ago and didn't get treatment because no one knew a thing about it. I lived in a rural area with deer on my lawn all the time. Had an active outdoor lifestyle. I don't think there were good tests in those days, and doctors just blew me off. I had Lyme meningitis, could hardly walk, was dizzy with headache for a year or two. I got antibiotics about 12 or 15 years ago via a doctor who was prescribing antibiotics for autoimmune disease and had 3 years of Minocycline that helped me a great deal. (By this time I had scleroderma.) At any rate I have been very well for a long time but have now developed tremor. Anything you can tell me about diagnosis would be welcome. Are there better tests out there now for Lyme? How do I know I have Lyme and not Parkinson's or MS? Thanks.

My experience has been that the vibrating, temors and myclonic jerks were all due to parasites. Parasites/worms can be concidered a co-infection of Lyme and is often overlooked even by the best LLMDs.

Antiparasitic herbs and salt/c were life savers for me. Many here are taking Ivermectin with good results. Do a search on here for parasites, google parasite symptoms and check curezone + parasite forum/

Thanks for your reply. I had not even considered parasites, but I guess they could have been there all these years, if that is the reason I am having the tremors. Mulling all this over, I think I need to have some testing done. How are the tests these days? I have not had to stay current with this all these years. Long ago I was tested and the best test at that point (I think it was Western Blot) showed a borderline infection, but I KNOW I was not borderline!

Oh, GLM, I used to live in PA which is where I got the Lyme. Lived in Chester County in a farm type community for all the years we raised our family. PA is a real hotbed of Lyme because of all the deer we had! Ivermectin used to be given to sheep for parasites, as well as dogs. (I used to give it to my dogs as prescribed by the vet.) I didn't know people took it, too.
