I'm curious about something. I'm a big time gardener and have been for many years. I spend hours out in the yard at times. This year has been horrendous as the flying bugs are absolutely relentless. For some reason, every time I am outside they all fly around my ears trying to get in my ear canal. It's insane.
It has been this was for several years. They don't do the same to my wife. Why would this be?
I have something trying to bite me every time I step outside it seems. I try bug repellant, but it's useless.
I'm just lucky the morons (powers that be) say Lyme/coinfections don't exist in my area.

I've heard that taking more B vitamins helps repel insects. Can't remember if it was B1 or B2...just take NOW's B-50 and you'll be covered.

- Yes, the B's. Garlic or Allicin might also repel them as it can be detected from your pores relatively soon after ingesting.
And try a half of a cotton ball, one drop of a citrus essential oil toward the outside and gently put in your ear.
A drop of real citronella oil might be good, too. Just stick to one drop so it does not get onto your skin as it could burn skin unless cut with a neutral carrier oil.
Keep that half cotton ball on the airy side (just enough to keep buds away) as you still need to get some kind of air flow to the ears and if it's stuffed your balance could be affected. -
