I'm currently looking into finding a Burrascano-type doctor.
With my current LLMD I've only been treated with minocycline and plaquenil - both seemed to agree with my stomach/gut until I started dealing with candida issues.
However, before Lyme, my reaction to most antibiotics was generally nausea, vomitting and diarrhea.
I know that a doctor who treats according to the Burrascano guidelines will put me on several drugs/antibiotics at once ... which is what I want!
However, I'm concerned about the above-mentioned side effects.
I'm a tiny person (158 cm, 43.5 kg which is approx. 5'2, 95lbs) and I quickly lose weight after a couple of days of diarrhea.
So, this post is to those of you who have had to deal with nauseau, vomitting and diarrhea.
What did you or you doctor do to prevent, avoid or counteract these side effects?
Thanks!

What happened with your candida issues? I have had problems with GI issues since last year.
I eat ginger and have anti-nausea meds. My LLMD has me on an oral protocol but if I continue to have problems, we will begin IV.
Let your new LLMD know up front about your issues with antibiotics. The doctor should know what to do because you are not the first person to encounter this problem.

I'm keeping the candida in check now (using oral amphotericin B, which works great - abdominal pain greatly reduced).
What kind of ginger do you eat? Are you taking supplements? Ginger tea? Are you eating it raw or cooked? I presume it helps?
Did your LLMD prescribe your anti-nausea meds?
Unfortunately, the LLMDs I've seem so far never even offered any nausea/vomitting/diarrhea solutions, which is also one of the many reasons why I'm looking for a new doctor at this point ...
