I started Biaxin over a week ago with the intent to keep it steady @500mg 2x a day, however some of the herx/effects are really digging in:
weakness anxiety muscle twitching severe mood swings/agitation insomnia nausea
Is pulsing an option with Biaxin? If so, what kind of schedules do people do? If I can't take it full time yet I would like to at least do 2-3 days at a time.

Does it make everything taste BAD? Was on it but had to stop after a week as it was upsetting my stomach and couldnt eat, Tried zithromax next for a week, a little better but made everything taste bad so couldnt eat on this one either. Am considering 2x weekly infusions of Rocephin as an option. Wonder if it would help. Am on mino & plaq.

It leaves a taste in my mouth long after taking it. I'll wake up at 3am with that taste kicking around. I also noticed hypersensitivity to odors and a decreasing appetite.

Went to the ER last night due to the Biaxin.
Waves of tremors/convulsions/anxiety/nausea/flank pain/de-realization.
My heart rate and blood pressure were fine. Temp low: 96.6. Renal panel and electrolytes checked out.
Symptoms worsened until a saline solution was administered, and a urine sample was given. At this point all of the symptoms cleared and haven't returned.
Did the saline solution help in detoxing?
