With my recent colon issues, doc wanted me to take rocephin IM injections-as opposed to intravenous.
The IM rocephin injections contains the same 2 grams of Rocephin as IV.
I'm now taking bicillin, but its not enough. I can't take orals with colon issue.
Has anyone taken rocephin IM injections with colon issues?
How was it on your gut and does it have side affects because it's in injection form - as opposed to a slow drip IV.
How did it work for the Lyme? Has anyone seen good results with it?

I've also had some bad colon issues during various oral ABX and IV treatments during the past 18 months.
What kind of Probiotics do you take? I originally thought I had a decent brand by Allergy Research, but kept taking more capsules a day, then moved up to VSL#3 capsules.
A few months later I added Florastor (250 mg Saccharomyces Boulardi) and things have settled down considerably.
Last week I finally got a script for VSL#3 DS which is covered at $35 co-pay, vs $50 for a bottle of regular strength VSL#3 capsules. If needed I can take only half a packet of the DS and stretch my supply to two months and still get a larger daily dose.
