I was in a chat room for Lyme and describing my symptoms.
One of the gals said, I think you have SIBO.
Lo and behold, I looked up the symptoms and I have over half of them.
MY naturopath had put me on the SCD diet and probabaly saved my life.
I am still on the diet 1 1/2 years later.
I am better, but think I need to consider the drugs to take care of the overgrowth.
Are there any precautions to take with Lyme and the treatment of SIBO.
This would be the answer to my prayers.
I have been on a very strict diet for 4 years and would love some variety.
Anyone else have this, had the test and treatment?
Where do I find a doctor that understands this condition?
I am in NW Kansas.. Would love more info on this topic.

I would think this is something to talk over with the naturopath you are seeing. They know of what test to run. I have had a CDSA (Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis) done a couple of times. Here is some info on it: http://www.gdx.net/product/10006
There are a couple of other companies that run a similar test.
The test will tell you what organism is out of range and what it is sensitive too. It will also check the level of good bacteria in your gut.
Best, Karen
