Is anyone experiencing this? I am 21 I shouldn't be losing my hair! I always had a very thick and long hair, and always I would get compliments on my hair, and the past 6 months I lost more than half of my hair. It's so thin right now, I am in a complete shock. I've never expected to have thin hair since growing up I always complained of how thick my hair was.
I am trying my best to maintain it, I do olive oil hair treatments, but nothing is helping. Have anything helped you?

You aren't alone. My hair has thinned significantly since I've become ill.
There are times when it actively falls out in handfuls, that is when I'm my sickest. Then things will settle down and I'll notice fine downy growth along my hairline. This is where I am at now. My hair is very thin.
I've seen my dermatologist and have asked her many times if there is anything I can do to stop the hair loss or make my hair start growing again and she sadly says "no".
The only things that seem to help are Nioxin shampoo and conditioner, literally helps stop/reduce the hair loss. If I switch to another shampoo and conditioner I will start to lose my hair again.
And I take high doses of biotin, 1g daily. This is well known for hair health.
My dermatologist says that my hair will grow back healthy again when my body has the health and strength to care for it. That the hair loss is a sign of my sickness, that I am very weak and my body cannot support it.
I'm glad that my hair is not gone forever. I look forward to being healthy again.

My daughter (14 years) loses a lot of hair. I think it has improved by taking Regenemax (Xymogen) and as she gets stronger.

Loss of iron due to co-infections and Lyme,somewhat, and possible hormone loss due to lyme can cause lots of hair loss. Iron loss will make the hair shafts break, and when you are better or less lyme toxic, it will grow back. Make sure you do no have heavy metals on board and get hormones and vitamin levels checked thouroughly.
