HI All, My 12 year old with lyme has caught the horrible respiratory influenza that has been going around. The rest of our family had it too. I was really hoping by some miracle he wouldn't get it, but now he has. I have found that Oil of Oregano was what got me better, kept it out of my lungs and such. I've been giving Oil of Oregano to my son to help get him better. This strain of flu has caused many cases of pneumonia in our community. I need info on it's potential effects on his lyme. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Oil of Oregano can be used for candida - two drops twice a day but it is also antibacterial. It is also a powerful antiviral, antibacterial, antiseptic to respiratory system, and an immune stimulant. It has been used in some homeopathic Lyme preparations. -------------------- Faithful Just sharing my experience, I am not a doctor.

Thank you Faithful Yes OOO is so great for all of those things. So it does sound like it has anti lyme action so he may have herx reactions too. I really have to keep giving it to him as I can tell this strain of flu is dangerous, but I needed to know if herx could come from it. Any other thoughts on anti respiratory flu things that don't hit lyme? He's doing marshmallow tea, some echinacea, hot lemon and water, soups, and of course rest! Thanks again for any thoughts.
