Anyone have advice on finding a good one and what should I have done to my previous root canals? I have 4 and would like to have them taken care of but not sure what to do.

Had all my amalgams out 5 years ago but didn't realize root canals are problems too.

Thanks so much for any help.

Yes, but hoping someone with experience would know of a good site.

And suggestions on what procedure to do for old root canals.

I was going to give you some websites, but Razzle beat me to it!. That's ok - we're all here to help.

You are very fortunate to have The Laser Dental Center in Fullerton,CA, (714) 870-0216, run by Dr. Richard Hansen. Wish we had a place like this where we live!

Here are some articles dealing with alternative root canal treatments which you might find interesting:

Note: I am in no way affiliated with Dr. Hansen or the Center - just looking for healthy alternatives.

You might want to contact Betterhealthguy and see whom he knows.

I would also check out the TOPAS test which is a test that is done for little money in the dentist chair that will tell whether the root canal is okay or not. Google it and also ask BetterH.

I lost all root canals first thing into Lyme and I am glad they are gone. Do a search on root canals here with my name - many of my posts
talk about root canals, metal toxicity, etc. - no doubt the cause of a lot of our problems before we ever encountered Lyme and other infections.

Hope SF can help you further, Birdie.

Thank you Hoping! Interesting that they mentioned formaldehyde as being used in root canals before, since that is one of the things I tested high for.

They are about 7 hours from me but I will call tomorrow and see if they can recommend another dentist closer, or possibly I could go there.

Looks like a great Dentist!

Great idea GiGi. I will contact Scott and see if he knows of someone. We are close in area so that's a good possibility.

I am having sensitivity in 3 of my 4 crowns that were done 30+ years ago, so would like to find out if they are okay. I will look into the TOPAS test now and search this site for your past posts.

Thank you!
