- Whatever the toxin, avoidance & removal of said toxin from one's environment (or breaking free from a toxic environment) is of utmost importance. Of - Utmost - Importance.
This goes for all kinds of environmental toxins in our cars, at work or at home (including the human kind).
For toxins from infections, to help neutralize the effects in the body, the Liver Support Thread is a good place to begin.
Just as there is help to "neutralize" or lessen the toxic load within our bodies (when from infection),
there are some therapeutic tools to help us better tolerate or change the dynamics of toxic relationships if there is any hope for a good solid future -- but some kind of definitive action is required.
Left "untreated" the effects of "emotional toxins" can be just as physically devastating as chemical toxins.
WE can also become the toxin that clobbers us . . . sort of a stickyness that results from being stuck in a toxic situation. It's hard to get unstuck but so very important to not get ensnarled and fester in "a toxic relationship biofilm" so to speak. -

Seeing an environmental illness doctor or good toxicologist can help. Also an ND might be useful.
If you can determine the exact toxins, it may change the treatment plan too.
There are different ways the chelate, depending on what's overwhelming your body.
Also, allergies to chemicals is something to consider and that's a whole other treatment plan.

Supporting methylation will also help your body detox. Methylation creates glutathione, which is needed in order to get rid of all sorts of toxins (metals, chemicals, etc.).
There are specific nutritional supplements (B-vitamins, anti-oxidants, etc.) that help, but sometimes genetic variations can influence how one must customize the protocol for their specific body.
Testing is expensive, so many just start with the simplified methylation protocol and go from there.
Google the "simplified methylation protocol" to find it...it's all over the place in CFS forums and such.
