"Indicators of BLO infection include CNS symptoms out of proportion to the other systemic symptoms of chronic Lyme. There seems to be an increased irritability to the CNS, with agitation, anxiety, insomnia, and even seizures, in addition to other unusually strong symptoms of encephalitis, such as cognitive deficits and confusion. Other key symptoms may include gastritis, lower abdominal pain (mesenteric adenitis), sore soles, especially in the AM, tender subcutaneous nodules along the extremities, and red rashes. These rashes may have the appearance of red streaks like stretch marks that do not follow skin planes, spider veins, or red papular eruptions. Lymph nodes may be enlarged and the throat can be sore." See where he lists: "sore soles, especially in the AM"?
I had the burning soles for hours a couple of days in a row. I thought the heat of the pavement burnt them somehow since it started in the afternoon!

Bartonella... My feet always overheat at night, and though I test negative for Bart., every single Lyme-Literate doctor I've seen has said I have Bart.

Me too big time. Often so bad I cant sleep. Dr gave me neurotin and then tried topomax. I couldn't take either

If you're concerned about Diabetes, get a fasting glucose and Hemoglobin A1C test...
Vitamin B12 & Folic Acid also should be checked, as deficiencies of these may cause peripheral neuropathy.
And make sure you are eating Gluten-Free!

Yes it can definitely be diabetes. Only way to tell is get tested. My dr does test me but only because I'm high risk. Overweight. Older and parents diabetic.
