I am wondering what are some of everyones worst herxing episodes and everything that you felt so I can gain some comfort and not freak myself out and think that I am dying.

In all kindness, I'm not sure at this point - if you really feel as if you are dying - is a good time to hear the worst of it all.

It can be bad. Very bad, indeed. There were many times that it felt as if I was going to die. It took a long time to figure out how to ride the waves or just lie low & still and wait -- or when to be proactive and just to what degree.

I had to learn how to be miserable and that was "okay" in perspective. I used to equate sheer misery with being close to death but learned there is actually a difference.

Still, sheer misery is not required. I learned that, too, with certain support methods.

If you need comfort, it may come more in suggestions for what can help rather than all the detail for how bad it can be.

If you really think you are dying, contact your doctor, of course. There may be something they need to know about now.

I think you need more education / explanation about what you are going through - specific to your case and your treatment.

If your LLMD has a office staff person who can help with a five minute phone conversation that might be where I would start.

They need the key points as to what, exactly, has you thinking you are dying? List 3 - 5 symptoms. Ask them for 3 - 5 suggestions for what can help.

It's true that even with the best support and everything done "correctly" on the part of the doctor and patient (protocol & self-care behaviors) that it can still be grisly and gruelling.

I assume you are following your LLMDs advice to the letter and not adding ANYTHING else on your own in an attempt to hit this harder.

My huge concern is that I do not think you have been properly armed with herx support detail.

I am also concerned that - for many - a herx is seen as required. IMO, it's best to avoid a strong herx and stay just on the under side of one. Too much of a herx reaction is a huge - huge - stress on the liver, kidneys, nerve fibers, etc.

If your herx reaction is so bad, IMO, you may need to back down -- or make clear changes to your support plan.

As to how it can get, not just when to suspect lyme but also how to better understand the range of symptoms and experiences that are "warped" along the way:

If the feeling of dying is partly from endocrine stress &/ or to help not "freak out", consider adrenal support. When our adrenal system is all stressed, our brain function - how we think & how we feel - will be, too:
