I think my LLMD has hit the nail on the head about my eyes. I am on Nystatin for systemic yeast although she says the bloodtest number was not very high.

My eyes have been getting worse with what look like dark allergy shiners all around them (especially underneath) and they scratch and burn also.

what is the best thing to take to get these eyes cleared up besides cleaning up my diet (which I have begun)?

Thank you.

Nystatin is not for systemic yeast. It stays in the digestive tract only and does not enter the bloodstream.

That's true. Diflucan enters the blood stream.

it might not be yeast

my non LL opthalmologist tells me i have a chronic eye infection that is bacterial but he never says lyme

he wants me to take 1 100mg doxy a day and good quality fish oil and when i took only the doxy for a year they did clear up

knowing more than him about lyme i began to be worried about resistance and when i told him he again did not agree it was lyme but agreed i could be on to something bout resistance

he says the good fish oil will be helpful...if i find the sheet he gave me i'll post what kind. i use carlsons and it worked-not sure it is what he wanted

years ago at befinning an other opthal told me to use 1 1000mg flax oil for dry eyes and not to use prescription resatan or what ever it is called that primary will want to give you

that helped dry eyes until they got worse

that said -my eyes continue to get worse with large black floaters i know are from retina, and blurryness that comes and goes...i wish i could get to LL opthal...but too much going onright now

good luck

I always had these symptoms only not as severe from Bart and Doxy/Rifampin/Zithro fixed them twice. My current LLMD thinks that Rifampin/Flagyl/Rocephin would work the same. At this time she does not want to do that. I am suffering. I thnk inside and around my eyes are getting worse by the day.
